On January 25, 2024, 50-year-old Donnell Smith Jr. was fatally shot during a robbery at his apartment in the 3600 block of Oak Tree Circle in southwest Fort Worth, Texas. The incident occurred around 11:20 p.m. Two suspects entered the residence and attempted to rob Smith and two other men, aged 65 and 39. During the confrontation, gunfire was exchanged between one of the victims and the suspects. The assailants fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
