On February 1, 2024, at approximately 12:02 a.m., Austin Police Department officers responded to a reported gun incident at the Super 8 Motel located at 4200 South Interstate Highway 35 in Austin, Texas. Upon arrival, officers heard gunshots and discovered 41-year-old Rahsaan Dobbins, who was nude and armed, having just shot another man on the motel grounds. Dobbins complied with police commands and was taken into custody without further incident.
