On February 25, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas, 86-year-old Sylvia Llanes tragically lost her life due to an accidental shooting involving her son. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. at their residence near the 900 block of Ripford Street. According to the San Antonio Police Department, her son, upon hearing a noise in the backyard, retrieved his firearm. While handling the weapon, it accidentally discharged, with the bullet penetrating a wall and striking Ms. Llanes in the chest as she slept. ...
