On June 29, 2023, 43-year-old Laura West was tragically murdered in her home in Leming, Texas, approximately 30 miles south of San Antonio. Her roommate, 33-year-old Mary Heinz, was also killed in the same incident. The perpetrator, 27-year-old Rosendo Jesus Montoya, had previously dated Heinz and had developed an obsessive fixation on her.
