On March 2, 2024, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Edinburg police responded to reports of gunshots at the Texas Inn and Suites City Center, located at 202 N. 25th Ave. Upon arrival, officers discovered 29-year-old Victor Gerardo Hernandez in the hotel parking lot, deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.

In the days following the incident, Edinburg police identified two local men, Fernando Amaya Orona and Hector Oliver Ramirez, as suspects in Hernandez's murder. Authorities also sought a whi ...
