In the quiet town of Dunlap, Tennessee, on October 3, 2023, the life of 64-year-old Marcella 'Marcy' Renee Ervin, a White female, was brought to a tragic end. On that Tuesday afternoon, at approximately 4:30 p.m., a distress call was made to the Sequatchie County Sheriff's Office from a residence on Windridge Drive. The caller was Keith Edward Kopecky, Ervin's 63-year-old husband, who calmly informed the dispatcher that he had just shot his wife.
