On March 11, 2024, the Richmond, Texas community was shaken by the tragic deaths of two esteemed elementary school teachers from the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District (Lamar CISD). Authorities discovered the bodies of 34-year-old Marina Alba Garcia and her husband, 34-year-old Gene Mark Hudgson, in their home on Darst Field Trail.
