On the evening of March 22, 2024, at approximately 9:20 p.m., 18-year-old friends and high school seniors, Camren Stacy and Kamari Smith-Capps, were fatally shot outside the Uncle Lee Grocery Food Market on Dixon Avenue near Scyene Road in Dallas, Texas. Upon arrival, Dallas Police found Smith-Capps deceased in the driver's seat of their vehicle and Stacy on the ground nearby, both having suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
