On March 26, 2024, at approximately 5:30 a.m., 45-year-old LaCrecia Yvette Thomas was fatally shot in her home on Bailey Drive in Cedar Hill, Texas. Neighbors reported hearing multiple gunshots, describing the sounds as "booming" and piercing through the early morning quiet. Responding officers found Thomas with multiple gunshot wounds; she was transported to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
