On May 16, 2024, 49-year-old San Antonio resident Damian Curtis Crow was found deceased in his home on Pico De Aguila, having suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head while sleeping on a sofa.
Authorities arrested his wife, 51-year-old Veronica Crow, at the scene. She has been charged with his murder. Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar indicated that the couple was experiencing marital strife and were in the process of separating.
An argument over the Easter weekend had reportedly escalated, though no prior incidents of violence had been officially reported.
The investigation revealed that another adult woman, who was in the process of moving into the residence, was present at the time of the incident and made the initial 911 call. She is considered a witness and is not suspected of involvement in the shooting.
In the wake of Damian's death, friends and family gathered to honor his memory, describing him as an amazing man who was loved by everyone who knew him. A vigil was held at 7 to 7 Dental and Orthodontics, where he was known for his dedication and skill in maintaining equipment. His daughter, Madison, expressed gratitude for the support, stating, "He was the best dad you could have asked for. He was taken too soon."
A GoFundMe campaign has been established to support Madison, who, at 21, now faces the challenges of planning funeral services and managing living expenses without her father.
