On June 28, 2024, at approximately 12:29 a.m., Corpus Christi Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 2600 block of Buford Street near 23rd Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 18-year-old Dylan Brower lying deceased in the street, having suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
