On January 24, 2021, Darren McKinstry, a 54-year-old man from Corpus Christi, Texas, was tragically shot and killed in Annaville. The incident occurred around 2:40 p.m. when officers were dispatched to the 10900 block of Stacy Lane for a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered McKinstry with a gunshot wound to the chest. The Nueces County Medical Examiner confirmed that the cause of death was the gunshot wound.
