Herbert Morton, a 17-year-old male from Corpus Christi, Texas, tragically passed away on February 13, 2020. Herbert, known affectionately as "Herbie," was an adventurous teenager who enjoyed skateboarding, football, and spending time with his family. He was also a proud father to a 7-month-old son.
On the evening of February 13, 2020, Herbert was found shot in the 2200 block of Carolyn Drive, near State Highway 286 and Holly Road.
He was quickly transported to Christus Spohn Hospital Shoreline, but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries. The Nueces County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that Herbert died from gunshot wounds.
Following Herbert's death, Corpus Christi police issued a warrant for the arrest of 18-year-old Christopher Orgas, who was suspected of being involved in the fatal shooting. Christopher Orgas was described as a male with black hair and brown eyes, standing about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds. The police urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward, offering a cash reward for information leading to Orgas' arrest.
