On the evening of July 17, 2024, 23-year-old Charles Dennis III was fatally shot in Old East Dallas. The incident occurred around 10:48 p.m. in the 3500 block of Munger Avenue, near the Roseland Townhomes. Responding to reports of gunfire, Dallas Police found Dennis outside the townhomes with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
