Patrick Ray Cantu Jr., a 22-year-old resident of Corpus Christi, Texas, tragically lost his life on July 18, 2024, in a shooting incident at La Armada Housing complex. Cantu, born on February 18, 2002, in Houston, Texas, was a former Golden Gloves champion in the 140-lb. junior weight division in 2019.

The incident occurred on the 3800 block of Brandywine Court, behind Home Depot. Police responded to reports of a shooting just before 8:30 PM and found Cantu with multiple gunshot wounds. ...
