On October 5, 2024, at approximately 3:45 a.m., 34-year-old Martin Emilio Escareno was fatally shot in a drive-by incident in Pasadena, Texas. The shooting occurred in the 600 block of Burke Road, situated between the Sam Houston Tollway and Highway 225. Upon arrival, officers found Escareno with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was promptly transported to HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast, where he succumbed to his injuries during surgery.
