On February 28, 2023, at approximately 4:47 p.m., 18-year-old Ricardo Pineda Delacruz was fatally shot in the 7200 block of Di Giorgio Road in Lamont, California. Responding deputies from the Kern County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) discovered Pineda with multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene around 5:30 p.m.
