On March 2, 2023, 17-year-old Jayden Lopez was fatally shot in the Carver Tract community, situated between Indio and Coachella in California's East Valley. The incident occurred just before midnight on Lingayan Avenue, near Van Buren Street and Avenue 48. Responding to reports of gunfire, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department found no injured individuals at the scene.
