On March 15, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in the 1100 block of Lassen Avenue in south Modesto, California, resulting in the deaths of Gerardo Torres, 37, and Eddie Hernandez, 54. Both men were residents of the neighborhood and had a longstanding feud, which escalated into a violent confrontation that evening.
