On March 15, 2023, at approximately 1:57 a.m., Stockton police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1900 block of Vicki Lane. Upon arrival, they discovered 46-year-old Enrique Hinojosa Jr. suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate attention, Hinojosa Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.

The San Joaquin County Medical Examiner's Office later identified the victim as Hinojosa Jr. As of March 22, 2023, authorities had not established a motive for the shooting, and no ...
