On April 27, 2023, 29-year-old Seandell Lee Dupree Jones was fatally shot during a house party in the 800 block of Renfro Way in unincorporated El Cajon, California. The residence, rented through Airbnb, hosted a large gathering that reportedly attracted between 150 to 200 attendees. The party was advertised on social media, and admission tickets were sold on the campus of Education First International Language Centers in Liberty Station.
