On May 30, 2023, 31-year-old YanCarlos Santiago was fatally shot in the parking lot of an Amazon Fresh grocery store located in the 6800 block of La Cienega Boulevard in Westchester, Los Angeles. The incident occurred around 4:00 p.m., when Santiago became involved in a heated argument with a woman in the parking area.
