On July 4, 2023, at approximately 2:57 p.m., 37-year-old Henry Gonzalez was fatally shot while riding his motorcycle on the northbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway at the Avenue L off-ramp in Lancaster, California. Initially responding to reports of a traffic collision, California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers discovered Gonzalez with gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
