On July 12, 2023, in Modesto, California, 8-year-old Sigrid Halstead was tragically killed in a murder-suicide perpetrated by her father, 50-year-old Donovan Halstead. Authorities responded to a call regarding a suicidal individual at a residence on Havenhurst Court. Upon arrival, officers observed Donovan inside the home armed with a firearm.
