On the evening of August 9, 2023, in Redwood Valley, California, 43-year-old resident Timothy James Abshire was fatally shot. The Mendocino County Sheriff's Dispatch Center received a 911 call around 7:50 PM from 46-year-old Clinton Maxwell, who reported that he had shot his neighbor, Abshire, whom he found trespassing on his property in the 2900 block of Richards Road.
