In response to the incident and ongoing safety concerns, the city of San Francisco implemented new security measures at Twin Peaks. These included increased police patrols, the installation of automated license plate readers, and cameras to monitor vehicles entering and exiting the area. Additionally, plans were made to upgrade the existing manual gate on the south end of Twin Peaks Boulevard to an automated system, aiming to enhance security and deter criminal activity in the popular tourist spot.
