On December 22, 2023, at approximately 6:30 a.m., Santa Maria Police Department officers responded to a reported domestic disturbance involving a shooting at a residence on the 1300 block of Dolcetto Lane. Upon arrival, they discovered 43-year-old Johannes Katya Johnson suffering from critical gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.
