On the evening of February 11, 2024, at approximately 8:42 p.m., deputies responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 100 block of Ammunition Road in Fallbrook, California. Upon arrival, they discovered 32-year-old Humberto Melecio suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. Paramedics transported Melecio to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:05 p.m.
