On February 11, 2024, at approximately 1:33 a.m., 40-year-old Gabino Perez Martinez was fatally shot in a parking lot in Whittier, California.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner determined the manner of death to be homicide, caused by gunshot wounds.
Another individual, 33-year-old Rodrigo Perez Almodovar, was also killed in the same incident.
