On the night of February 15, 2024, at approximately 11:34 p.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of gunfire in the 4700 block of Avenida La Manana in Joshua Tree, California. Upon arrival, they discovered Richard Andrade, a 52-year-old resident of Morongo Valley, suffering from gunshot wounds outside a residence. Emergency medical services transported Andrade to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
