On February 17, 2024, George Vera, a 38-year-old resident of Los Angeles, was fatally shot at a convenience store in East Los Angeles. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the 5400 block of East Beverly Boulevard. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified Vera and determined the cause of death to be multiple gunshot wounds, classifying the manner of death as homicide.
