On February 17, 2024, George Vera, a 38-year-old resident of Los Angeles, was fatally shot at a convenience store in East Los Angeles. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the 5400 block of East Beverly Boulevard. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified Vera and determined the cause of death to be multiple gunshot wounds, classifying the manner of death as homicide.
Prior to his death, George Vera had a history of legal issues.
In February 2010, he was arrested on suspicion of robbery by the Montebello Police Department. Additionally, in February 2021, he faced another arrest for robbery in Los Angeles County.
As of now, authorities have not announced any arrests or identified any suspects in connection with Vera's death.
