On March 19, 2024, 63-year-old Pleasant Hill resident Peter John Popovich was fatally shot during an attempted robbery near his home on Twinbridge Circle. Popovich, employed in the legal cannabis industry as a delivery driver for packaging materials, was confronted by assailants while standing near his parked van.
