On April 15, 2024, at approximately 2:25 a.m., 36-year-old Kuanita Berry was fatally shot near the intersection of Lucas Avenue and Ingraham Street in Los Angeles' Westlake District. First responders arrived to find Berry with a gunshot wound to the head; she was pronounced dead at the scene shortly thereafter.
