On April 28, 2024, at approximately 1:34 a.m., Stockton Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 6200 block of North Pershing Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 22-year-old Stockton resident, Lawrence Nevel, suffering from a gunshot wound. Tragically, Nevel was pronounced dead at the scene.
