On May 10, 2024, 46-year-old Modesto resident Bryan Tenbrink was fatally shot following a reported verbal argument on the 400 block of Kerr Avenue. The incident occurred shortly after 3 p.m., prompting a response from the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office. Before deputies arrived, a bystander transported Tenbrink to a nearby ambulance, where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
