On May 13, 2024, 14-year-old Benny Molina was fatally shot at El Dorado Park in Lancaster, California. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the 44500 block of Fifth Street East. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Benny was with friends, reportedly painting over gang-related graffiti, when multiple shots were fired from a vehicle in the parking lot. He sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
