On the evening of May 24, 2024, 27-year-old Diontae Gayden was fatally shot in Belmont, California. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. near the intersection of Hiller and Irwin Streets, close to O'Donnell Park. Residents reported hearing three gunshots and observed bullet holes in a car parked in the area. Upon arrival, Belmont police officers found Gayden with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate emergency medical assistance, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
