On June 13, 2024, at approximately 11 p.m., 41-year-old security guard Abakr Mohamed Amin was fatally shot while on duty at a CVS Pharmacy located in the Fremont Hub Shopping Center at Mowry Avenue and Fremont Boulevard in Fremont, California.
