On June 14, 2024, at approximately 12:48 p.m., the Kern County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a deceased individual in the 12300 block of Edison Highway, east of Bakersfield, California. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the body of 40-year-old Shawn Eugene Jones, a resident of Bakersfield, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
