On July 21, 2024, 36-year-old Dontay Thomas from Los Angeles, California, was pronounced dead at 7:29 a.m. in a local hospital. The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office determined the cause of death to be a gunshot wound to the torso, classifying the incident as a homicide.
