On August 5, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 5600 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard, near Burbank Boulevard, in North Hollywood. Upon arrival, they discovered 55-year-old Luis Rosales Ramos inside his apartment, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
