On August 29, 2024, the Amador County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic disturbance call in Pine Grove, California. Upon arrival, deputies discovered 32-year-old Lakeisha Leew Doyle Johnson and 45-year-old David Donald Dixon deceased inside the residence, both with gunshot wounds. The incident is being investigated as a murder-suicide, with Dixon identified as the perpetrator who fatally shot Johnson before taking his own life.
