On October 19, 2024, 21-year-old Breaja Barbara Jones was fatally shot in her home on Hampton Way in Clovis, California. The incident occurred during a confrontation with her former partner, 21-year-old Tavion Keyon Tapscott, who is also the father of her two-year-old daughter. Tapscott had arrived at Jones's residence to collect his belongings when an argument ensued, culminating in him allegedly shooting Jones once, resulting in her death.
