On October 20, 2024, at approximately 10:49 p.m., the Fresno Police Department responded to multiple ShotSpotter activations near the intersection of Meyers Street and Arthur Avenue in southwest Fresno. The system detected a total of 59 gunshots: an initial burst of 44 rounds, followed by 13 rounds, and a final two rounds.
