On October 27, 2024, at approximately 2:10 a.m., a tragic shooting occurred at a house party in the 3600 block of West El Segundo Boulevard in Hawthorne, California. The incident resulted in the deaths of two men: Juan Lopez, aged 29, and Joe Reyes Vasquez, aged 30.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, a male suspect entered the backyard of the residence where the party was taking place and began shooting, striking both Lopez and Vasquez. The suspect then fled the ...
