On the evening of November 1, 2024, at approximately 8:57 p.m., deputies from the Moreno Valley Station responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 24000 block of Dracaea Avenue, Moreno Valley, California. Upon arrival, they discovered 45-year-old Ralph Ortega suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Ortega was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
