On a Sunday evening in Knoxville, Tennessee, the life of 27-year-old Anfernee Avila was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. It was around 9 p.m. on June 11, 2023, as Avila's orange Dodge Charger was waiting in a turn lane at the intersection of Walker Springs Road and North Gallaher View Road.
