On July 22, 2023, at approximately 2:12 a.m., 56-year-old Thomas "T.D." Dwayne Thomason was fatally shot outside his residence on Kings Court Circle in the Midway Community of Smithville, Tennessee. Emergency services responded promptly, with a deputy arriving within minutes to find Thomason lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. He was transported by DeKalb EMS to Ascension Saint Thomas DeKalb Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
