Jeffery William Rigsby, a 24-year-old male from Smithville, Tennessee, tragically died on June 25, 2020, from gunshot wounds sustained during an exchange of gunfire with 34-year-old Ronald Joshua Carter, the homeowner. The incident occurred at Carter's residence on Carter Drive, just outside the city limits of Smithville.
