In the late hours of a Saturday night, a celebration at the Event Center on Highway 51 in Covington, Tennessee, turned into a scene of chaos and violence. On September 23, 2023, gunfire erupted amidst a large gathering, forever altering the lives of many. Among those struck was 20-year-old Tamya Ewing-Somerville.
